The typological solution adopted derives from a careful study that previously compared different solutions, varying their building parameters, in order to achieve maximum flexibility compatible, in a long-term perspective, with the environmental and urban criteria assumed as invariants. In this way, innovative strategies of socio-economic integration between different user profiles, in an intergenerational perspective, coexist with the demand for a student residence for 34 housing units for the benefit of the University of Bologna and with a wide range of community services. The chosen building language and materials adopted corroborate the search for a domestic atmosphere, appropriate to the characters of the surroundings.
